Section 21(xxxvii) in The Kalyani University Act, 1981
(xxxvii)to exercise general supervision over [the Faculty Council for post-graduate studies and the Council for undergraduate studies] [Words substituted for the words 'the Faculty Councils for post-graduate and undergraduate studies' by W.B. Act 17 of 1999.] and give such directions to these Councils for the due discharge of their respective duties as it may consider necessary.
