By way of this order we shall dispose of the above referred writ petitions.
For the sake of convenience, facts are being taken from CWP-15286-2015.
Counsel for the parties agree that the ordinance subject matter of the writ petitions has lapsed and as the State of Punjab, has issued a fresh ordinance bearing No.40- Leg./2015 dated 14.12.2015 called the Punjab Development of Trade, Commerce and Industries (Validation) Ordinance, VINAY 2015.12.21 10:51 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh CWP No. 15286 of 2015 and other connected cases -17- 2015, the writ petition has been rendered infructuous.
Counsel for the petitioner(s), however, pray that interim orders dated 29.07.2015 and 12.10.2015, may be ordered to continue for a week from today so as to enable the petitioner(s) to challenge the vires of the new ordinance.
We have heard counsel for the parties and while dismissing the writ petitions as infructuous with liberty as prayed direct that interim orders dated 29.07.2015 and 12.10.2015, shall remain in force for a period of one week from today.
