Section 24(7) in Gujarat Organic Agricultural University Act, 2017
(7)(a)During the leave or absence of the Vice-Chancellor, or(b)in the event of a permanent vacancy in the office of the Vice-Chancellor, until an appointment is made under sub-section (1) to that office-the senior most Director, Dean or the Registrar of the University shall be given a charge with the prior approval of the Chancellor, of that post and he shall carry on the current duties of the office of the Vice-Chancellor.
