Section 30(1) in THE MAJOR PORT AUTHORITIES ACT, 2021

(1)The Board may, after 1962. expiry of such time and in such manner as stipulated in section 48 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of), sell any goods that have passed or placed into the custody of the Board upon landing thereof—
(a)if any rates payable to the Board in respect of such goods have not been paid; or
(b)if any rent payable to the Board in respect of any place on or in which such goods have been stored has not been paid; or
(c)if any lien of any ship-owner or Container Freight Station or Inland Container Depot for freight or other charges of which notice has been given has not been discharged and if the person claiming such lien for freight or other charge has made to the Board an application for such sale; or
(d)if such goods are not removed by the owner or the person entitled thereto from the premises of the Board:
Provided that the Board may authorise any concessionaire appointed by it under the Public Private Partnership project for operating any berth or terminal within the port limits to sell such goods:Provided further that any such authorisation by the Board shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the concession agreement entered into by the Board with such concessionaire.
