Section 36(1) in The Sikh Gurdwaras Committee Election Rules, 1959
(1)A presiding officer, a polling officer, any other public servant or a polling agent, who is an elector in a constituency and is, by reason of his being on duty at a polling station, unable to vote at the polling station where he is entitled to do so may, on application, be allowed to record his vote in that constituency by means of the ballot-paper prescribed for the constituency concerned, to be returned to the returning officer of that constituency by post so as to reach him before the date fixed for the declaration of result under rule 4.
