                                      ORDER

1. The complainant filed an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI Act) before the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO), Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., New Delhi seeking information on nine points Page 1 of 3 pertaining to the general correspondence dated 01.07.2008 and acknowledgement letter dated 08.07.2008, including, inter-alia, (i) the date on which the above said records were destroyed and (ii) the name and designation of the last custodian of the above said records relating to folio no. 0552284.

2. The complainant filed a complaint before the Commission on the grounds that the CPIO has provided false, misleading and incorrect information to him. The complainant requested the Commission to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the CPIO under the RTI Act.

Hearing:

3. The complainant was not present. The respondent Shri Daljeet Singh Khatri, Asstt. General Manager (Finance), Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., Scope Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi was present in person.

4. The complainant vide his letter dated 01.10.2018 informed the Commission that he wish to withdraw the present complaint.

Decision:

5. The complaint is hereby dismissed as 'Withdrawn'.

6. Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
