Section 41B(1) in The Punjab Municipal Corporation Law (Extension to Chandigarh) Act, 1994
(1)The Wards Committee shall, at its meeting in each year, elect one of its members who is a councillor to be Chairperson :Provided that where a Wards Committee consists of one ward only, the councillor representing that ward in the Corporation shall be the Chairperson of that Committee.
