Section 5(1)(g) in The Citizenship Act, 1955

(g)a person of full age and capacity who has been registered as an [Overseas Citizen of India Cardholder] [Substituted the words 'Overseas Citizen of India' by Act No. 1 of 2015.] for five years, and who [is ordinarily resident in India for twelve months] [Substituted the words 'has been residing in India for one year' by Act No. 1 of 2015.] before making an application for registration.
