THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING COME UP FOR ADMISSION ON
21.11.2018, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING:
 WP(C).No. 37592 of 2018 2

                                JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking directions to the respondents to permit the petitioner to contest in the Ernakulam District School Youth Festival in Mohiniyattom at High School Level.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.

3. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner has performed well in the Mohiniyattom event held in the Sub District Level and that the petitioner is entitled to participate in the District School Youth Festival.

The issue to be decided by this Court is with regard to the rejection of an appeal in a cultural event. The essential question for consideration is the subjective assessment of performance of participants in a cultural event. I am of the opinion that this Court is not equipped to consider such disputed question of fact. The prayer sought WP(C).No. 37592 of 2018 3 for in this writ petition therefore cannot be considered by this Court in exercise of its extra ordinary jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

The writ petition fails and is accordingly dismissed.
