9. Inquiries and correction before hearing under Rule 10.
- Before the date fixed for the hearing of claims and objections, the Election Officer shall make all necessary inquiries relating to such claims and objections or cause such inquiries to be made and may.of his own motion remove from the list the name of persons whom he knows or has reason to believe to be dead and may also correct purely clerical or accidental mistakes.
