38. Each Standing Committee to continue in office till a new Committee is constituted. - The Standing Committee in existence on the day for the retirement of Councillors shall continue to hold office until such time as a new Standing Committee is constituted under section 34 notwithstanding that the members of the said Committee, or some of them, may no longer he Councillors.]
