Section 77(2)(a) in The Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888

(a)perform such duties as he is directed by this Act to perform and such other duties in and with regard to the corporation and [the Standing Committee and the Improvements Committee] [These words were substituted for the words 'the Municipal Accounts Committee by Maharashtra 27 of 1999, Section 27 (b), (w.e.f. 23-4-1999)], as shall be required by him by those bodies respectively;
