Section 23(4) in The Merchant Shipping (Cargo Ship Construction And Survey) Rules, 1974
(4)In every ship in which oil or gaseous fuel is used in engines or boilers for the propulsion or safety of the ship, the arrangements for the storage, distribution and utilisation of the fuel shall be such that the effective use of the engines can be maintained under all conditions likely to be met by the ship in service.
