Section 2(1) in Haryana Municipal Business Bye-laws 1981
(1)In these bye-laws, unless the context otherwise requires,-(a)"Act" means the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973.(b)"Head of the Department" means -(i)in respect of the Sanitation, Public Health and Health Departments of a Committee, the Municipal Medical Officer of Health;(ii)in respect of the Engineering and Building Department of a Committee, the Municipal Engineer; and(iii)in respect of the remaining municipal administration, the [Executive officer or in his absence, the Secretary.] [Substituted for the words 'Chief Executive Officer' vide Notification, dated 21.4.1995.]
