This petition has been preferred under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for quashing of FIR No.246, dated 09.12.2011, under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC, at Police Station Navi Baradari, District Jalandhar City and all other subsequent proceedings arising out of the same, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-6) effected between the parties.

2. In compliance of order dated July 20, 2015, report of ld. Judicial Magistrate has been received, in which, it has been observed that compromise between the parties is genuine and it is effected voluntarily without any pressure, coercion or undue influence SONIKA 2016.03.10 10:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh CRM No.M-44056 of 2014 -2 - from any quarter. Even otherwise, matter involved is personal in nature, which has been amicably put at rest.

3. In view of the above I am of the considered opinion that continuation of criminal proceedings between the parties would be an abuse of the process of law and the present compromise is for their benefit and will bring peace and harmony between them.

4. Consequently, instant petition stands allowed and FIR No.246, dated 09.12.2011, under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC, at Police Station Navi Baradari, District Jalandhar City and all other subsequent proceedings arising therefrom are quashed qua the petitioner.
