(a)The following periods shall count for increment:-

(i)all periods of duty in a post of a time-scale;

(ii)all period of leave with allowance;

(iii)all periods of extraordinary leave on medical certificate; and

(iv)study leave granted for prosecution and successful completion of higher studies leading to a post-graduate degree or its equivalent.
