Section 4(1) in The Displaced Persons (Compensation and Rehabilitation) Rules, 1955
(1)An application for compensation shall be made in duplicate in the form specified in Appendix I, to the Settlement Officer within whose jurisdiction the applicant actually and voluntarily resides, or carries on business or personally works for gain.
