Section 373(2) in The Calcutta Municipal Corporation Act, 1980
(2)If in any case the erection of the setting up of any structure or fixture as aforesaid shall have been lawful, compensation shall be paid by the Municipal Commissioner to every person who sustains loss or damage by the removal of such structure or fixture.
