Information Commissioner : Shri Sharat Sabharwal This matter pertains to an RTI application dated 14.12.2013 filed by the Appellant, seeking information on nine points regarding translation of Sahitya Akademi Awardee books of Punjabi into other languages. Not satisfied with the response of the CIC/SH/A/2014/001216 Respondents, he filed second appeal dated 19.5.2014 to the CIC, which was received by the Commission on 20.5.2014.
2. The Respondents submitted that pointwise information was provided on 24.1.2014. The Appellant was not present, in spite of a written notice having been sent to him, to plead his case.
3. We have considered the records and the submissions made before us by the Respondents. We note that the Appellant in his appeal has stated that he did not receive a copy of catalogue sent by the CPIO in response to point No. 3 of his application. We direct the CPIO to send a copy of the catalogue to the Appellant, free of cost, within ten days of the receipt of this order, under intimation to the Commission. We also note that the Appellant is not satisfied with the responses provided to him by the CPIO on points No. 5, 7 and 8 of the RTI application. On perusing the records, we see no ground to interfere with the CPIO's reply to these points.
4. With the above direction and observations, the appeal is disposed of.
5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
