Section 19A in The Punjab Factory Rules, 1952

19A. [ - (1) Limits of temperature and air movements. [Inserted by Punjab Government No. G.S.R.85/C.A.- 63/48/Section 112/Amd.(16)/77, dated 25th August, 1977.]

- In any factory, the maximum wet-bulb temperature of air in a work room at a height of 1.5 metres (5 feet) above the floor level shall not exceed 300C (860F) and adequate air movement of at least 30 metres per minute (100 feet per minute) shall be provided; and in relation to dry-bulb temperature the wet-bulb temperature in the work room at the said height shall not exceed that shown in the Schedule, or as regards a dry-bulb reading intermediate between the two dry-bulb readings as specified in relation to the higher of these two dry-bulb readings :-]
