SHRI SHRINIWAS DADASAHEB PATIL (KARAD): Sir, there is an urgent need to start the sanctioned project of constructing a bridge on river Krishna at Karad in Satara District of Maharashtra. The Union Government has sanctioned the bridge under the Central Road Fund. For the last three consecutive years submersion of existing low-level bridge due to flood water of river Krishna is hampering the traffic on inter-state Highway connecting Maharashtra and Kamataka.
