Section 299 in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
299. Occupier in default of owner may execute work and deduct expenses from his rent.
- Where default is made by the owner of any building or land in the execution of any work required to be executed by him, the occupier of such building or land may, with the approval of the Council, cause such work to be executed and the expense thereof shall be paid to him by the owner, or the amount may be deducted out of the rent from time to time becoming due from him to such owner.
