Section 2(iv) in Gauhati University Travelling Allowance Rules, 1966
(iv)'Employees' for the purposes of these Rules means officers, teachers, clerical staff and employees of similar cadres and employees below the rank of office assistants of the University and includes a person temporarily appointed for a specific purpose on a fixed remuneration.
