Section 17 in The Tamil Nadu Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1987
17. Market committee to be a local authority.
- Every market committee shall be deemed to be a local authority for the purposes of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central Act I of 1894) and the Local Authorities Loans Act, 1914 (Central Act IX of 1914).
