ORDER
Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI Application dt.22.2.11 with the PIO, Directorate of Education. He wanted to know the location of the United Christian Colleges conducting classes from IX to XII in Delhi and the No. of St.John's Schools in Delhi. Not satisfied with the reply dt.3.5.11 from the PIO, the Applicant filed an appeal dt.5.7.11 with the Appellate Authority and on not receiving any response from the AA, he filed a second appeal dt.8.8.11 before CIC. Decision
2. During the hearing, the Respondents submitted that there was confusion in the mind of the PIO regarding the information sought since the Appellant had sought the names of 'colleges' although he was referring to classes IX to XII. Hence the application was transferred to the Department of Higher Education who after some time returned the application stating that information does not pertain to them. However, after receiving further clarification from the Appellant over the phone, the desired information against points 1 and 3 were provided to the Appellant on 24.10.11. No information was provided against point 2 since it is not clear as to exactly what the Appellant is seeking.
3. The Commission noted that available information has been provided to the Appellant. As far as information sought against point 2 is concerned, the Appellant is advised to file a fresh RTI Application seeking specific information as the information sought in the instant application against point 3 is not clear to the Respondents.
4. The case is accordingly disposed off.
