- In all departmental correspondence, a half-margin memorandum shall be used when the reply can be given in a few words. The office orders leading up to such reply shall be entered on a separate paper known as an action slip and not on the memorandum itself. No docket is required, the only record necessary being the entries in the receipt and despatch registers.
