(1)This Act may be called the [Nurses and Midwives Act,] [Substituted by Act 15 of 1961] 1953.(2)[ It extends to the whole of the State of Kerala] [Substituted by Act 15 of 1961](3)It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint.
