(4)When a vacancy occurs in the office of member of the Syndicate by resignation or death of a member or otherwise the vacancy shall be filled in the manner provided in sub-section (1) :Provided that the person who fills such vacancy shall hold office for the unexpired portion of the term for which the person in whose place he becomes a member would have otherwise continued in office.
