- This Act may be called the Bengal Survey Act, 1875.[Commencement]. - Repealed by section 4 and the Third Schedule of the Amending Act, 1903 (1 of 1903).It extends to [the States of West Bengal and Bihar and that part of the State of Orissa which on the sixth day of October, 1875, was subject to the Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal] [Words originally substituted by Indian Independence (Adaptation of Bengal and Punjab Acts) Order, 1948.
