Section 227(1) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(1)It shall be the duty of the manager or proprietor of any place for public entertainment to make such provision as may be prescribed by the by-laws or if no by-laws have been framed, as the Chief Officer may by written notice require, for the prevention and extinction of fire, and for the easy exit of the audience in case of fire.
