                         ORAL ORDER

Heard Sri. Srinivasa T. and Smt. Roppa B.M., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Sri. Rangaswamy R., learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1 and Sri. B. Siddeswara and Sri. Chandan B.K., learned counsel -3- NC: 2024:KHC:52796 CRL.P No. 13852 of 2024 appearing for respondent No.2 and have perused the material on record.

2. During the pendency of the proceedings, the parties to the lis have settled the dispute among themselves and have filed a joint memo along with an affidavit. The joint memo reads as follows:

"JOINT MEMO FOR COMPROMISE UNDER SECTION 482 R/W 320 OF THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE:
The Petitioner and the Respondent No.2 in the above case most humbly file the following joint compromise memo for compounding the offences.
1. The Petitioner is facing the trail in CC.No. 10181/2022 for offence/s punishable u/s Sections 354C, 354D, and 506 of the IPC, Sections 66E and 67A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, read with Sections 4 and 6 of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, pending on the file of II Addl. Civil Judge & J.M.F.C, Nelamangala. The matter is posted for Summons to accused person.
2. In view of the some extra-ordinary developments taking places between the petitioner and the respondent No.2 at the instances of some well-

meaning persons and friends of both parties, both parties have agreed to settle their disputes/differences among themselves. Accordingly, both parties have arrived at a settlement and decided to compound this criminal case.

3. The petitioner and respondent no.2 have agreed to withdraw all allegation and would co-operate for -4- NC: 2024:KHC:52796 CRL.P No. 13852 of 2024 compounding the aforesaid criminal case, in accordance with law.

4. The petitioner humbly submits that, this Hon'ble court pleased to be read the averments made in the main petition as part & parcel of this application to avoid repetition.

WHEREFORE, the petitioner and the Respondent no.2 most humbly pray this Hon'ble court be pleased to accept their joint compromise memo and permit them compound the offences made against them by the Respondent No.2 in C. C. No. 10181/2022 pending on the file of the II Addl. Civil Judge & J.M.F.C, Nelamangala, Bengaluru Rural, for offences punishable Under Sections 354C, 354(D), 506 IPC and 66(E), 67(A), Information Technology Act r/w., 486 of Indecent Represantation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986 in ends of justice."

3. In the light of the settlement arrived at between the parties, I deem it appropriate to accept the joint memo and close the proceedings against the petitioner in the subject petition.

4. The crime so registered against this petitioner as well as the charge sheet so filed pursuant to the crime in C.C.No.10181/2022 stands quashed.

5. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:

ORDER i. Criminal Petition is disposed.

NC: 2024:KHC:52796 CRL.P No. 13852 of 2024 ii. Proceedings in C.C.No.10181/2022 pending before the II Additional Civil Judge and J.M.F.C., Nelamangala, Bengaluru Rural, stands quashed qua the petitioner.
