Section 21(2) in Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018
(2)not exceeding Rupees twenty thousand per day for the additional period of delay which is more than thirty days;The amount payable by way of financial disincentive under these regulations shall be remitted to such head of account as may be specified by the Authority.The total amount payable as financial disincentives under sub-regulations (1) and (2) shall not exceed rupees ten lakhs.The Authority reserves the right not to impose financial disincentive or to impose a lower amount of financial disincentive or no incentive where it finds merit in the reasons furnished by the access provider.Provided that no order for payment of any amount by way of financial disincentive shall be made by the Authority, unless the concerned Access Provider has been given a reasonable opportunity to represent.
