Section 5(3)(b) in The Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar Act, 1969

(b)any such student may, until any such examination is held by the University, be admitted to the examination of the Panjab University and be conferred the degree, diploma or any other privileges of the University for which he qualifies on the result of such examination.
