Section 23(1)(i) in The Merchant Shipping (Fire Appliances) Rules, 1969

(i)in the machinery spaces, at least two fire hydrants one on the port side and one on the starboard side and each such hydrant shall be provided with a fire hose with nozzle suitable for spraying water on oil, or alternatively with suitable dual purpose nozzles;
