Section 84(5)(b) in The Coal Mines Regulations, 2017

(b)The signaling appliances shall be examined by a competent person once at least in every twentyfour hours and the result of every such examination shall be recorded in a bound paged book kept for the purpose and shall be signed and dated by the person making the examination.
