The brief facts of the case are as under.
2. The Appellant had requested the CPIO in her letter dated 12 October, 2007 seeking a large number of information in respect of the educational qualification and age profile of the officers and the clerical staff of the Bank in the form of a tabular statement. The CPIO wrote to him on 26 February, 2007 i.e. nearly 2 weeks beyond the stipulated period and provided her only with the gross figures, gender-wise of the officers and clerical staff working in the Bank. Not satisfied with the reply she filed an Appeal before the first Appellate Authority which that Authority decided in his order dated 17th December, 2007. He upheld the decision of the CPIO. It is against that order that the Appellant has now approached the Commission in Second Appeal.
3. During the hearing, the Appellant was not present in spite of notice. We heard the submissions of the Respondent. We are inclined to agree with the views of the CPIO that the information sought in tabular form is too voluminous to collect and collate across the State Bank of India and would disproportionately divert the resources of the Public Authority. The Respondent submitted that the Public Authority did not hold the information physically or digitally for all classes of officers and employees in such detail in which the Appellant has sought in her application. To the extent the information was available the CPIO has already given it to her.
4. In view of this we dispose off the Appeal without any direction.
5. Copies of this order be given free of cost to the parties.
