Section 208(1) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
(1)Every person who intends to construct or reconstruct a hut shall send to the [executive authority] [These words were substituted for the word 'chairman' by Tamil Nadu Act XV of 1933]-(a)an application for permission to execute the work; and(b)a site-plan of the land.
