Commissioners to provide wharves, etc., for use of Customs Officers.- When the 1[Central Government] shall, under the provisions of any Act for the regulation of duties of customs, appoint any wharf, quay, stage, jetty, or pier erected or acquired under this Act for the use of sea-going vessels, to be a wharf for the landing of goods within the meaning of such enactment,
the Commissioners shall set apart, maintain and secure on such wharf, quay, stage, jetty or pier, such portion thereof, or place therein, or adjoining thereto, for the use of the officers of Customs, as the 1[Central Government] shall in that behalf approve or appoint.
