Section 55 in Life Insurance Corporation of India (Staff) Regulations, 1960
55. Overtime.
- Notwithstanding the fact that the whole time of an employee is at the disposal of the Corporation, the Corporation may [sanction overtime payments] [Notified in Gazette of India, Part-III Section 4 dated 22.4.1976.] to an employee belonging to Class III or Class IV who is required to work on Sundays or holidays or to put in extra hours on week days in connection with the Corporation's work, subject to the provisions of the local enactments.
