Mr. Y.P.S. Dhaulta, Additional Advocate General with Mr. J.S. Guleria, Deputy Advocate General and Mr. Rajat Chauhan, Law Officer, for respondents­State.

On following order:

                               6.12.2022,            this     Court      passed

"Record reveals that an amount of more than rupees the thirteen crores has been embezzled by members of the Managing Committee and also the Secretary, but no steps have been taken to recover the said amount. No doubt some members of the erstwhile Managing Committee have filed various writ petitions in this Court, but we have been informed that there is no stay of proceedings in the execution petition. If that be so, we really fail to understand why the Official respondents have not taken any concrete steps to recover the amount.

Therefore, let fresh status report by the Assistant Registrar, Co­operative Society, Una, clearly indicating therein that what further steps are being taken to recover the amount in question and further what action has been taken by the authorities in terms of the status report filed alongwith compliance affidavit, dated 7.11.2022."

2. Today, the Assistant Registrar, Coop. Society, Una, who is otherwise present in person, has filed the status report. We are not, at all, satisfied with the slow and tardy progress being made in the instant case.

3. Therefore, we direct the Assistant Registrar, .

Coop. Society, Una to expedite the matter and conclude the proceedings as expeditiously as possible, and in no event, later than 27.2.2023.

4. For compliance, to come up on 28.2.2023.
