9. The Chancellor
(1)The Governor of the Uttar Pradesh shall be the Chancellor of the University.(2)The Chancellor shall, by virtue, of his/her office, be the head of the University, and if present, preside over the convocation of the University.(3)Every proposal for the conferment of an honorary degree shall require the approval of the Chancellor.(4)The Chancellor shall have such other powers as may be prescribed.
