Section 248(1) in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
(1)The Council may set apart sufficient public places, not being private property for the purpose of being used as bathing places, and may also provide or set apart a sufficient number of tanks or runs of water for the inhabitants to bath in, and may also set apart tanks or reservoirs or runs of water for washing animals or clothes, and for all purposes connected with the health, cleanliness and comfort of the inhabitants and may prohibit the use for any purpose mentioned in this section of any or all other public places within the municipality.
