(2)Every member of the Armed Police who attempts to commit any offence punishable under this Act, or who causes such an offence to be committed, and in such attempt does any act towards commission of the offence shall where no express provision is made this Act, for the punishment of such attempt, be punished with the punishment provided for the offence.
