The check-measuring officer shall obtain from the overseer or supervisor or engineer, as the case may be, the measurement book in which measurements of the work concerned have been recorded and shall note in the measurement book under his initials the date or dates on which the check measurement is actually performed together with the difference, if any, noticed by him in the measurements.
