(1)The State Government, may, by notification appoint an officer to be called the Prohibition Commissioner, who subject to the control of the State Government, shall exercise such powers and shall perform such duties and such functions as are conferred upon, by or under the provisions of this Act and shall superintend and have the control of the administration of the Prohibition Department.
