Section 73(1) in The Bombay Children Act, 1948

(1)In the case of a youthful offender whose ordinary place of residence lies outside the jurisdiction of the court before which he is brought, if the court is satisfied after due inquiry that it is expedient so to do, the court may send the youthful offender on his own bond back to a relative or a fit person, who is fit and willing to receive him at his native place and exercise proper care and control of him, notwithstanding the fact that the youthful offender has to be sent to a place outside the [State] [This word was substituted for the word 'Province' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.].
