- The labour to which convicts may be put shall be of three classes: hard labour, medium labour and light labour, respectively. Forms of labour, its classification and labour task shall be fixed by the Inspector General of Prisons with the sanction of the Government from time to time as per the Reorganisation of Punjab Jail Industries, Earning Scheme keeping in view vocational training and rehabilitation after release of prisoners.
