Section 27 in Andhra Pradesh Rules Under the Registration Act, 1908

Each important interlineation, erasure or alteration occurring in a document shall whenever possible, be caused to be noted or described at the foot of document and to be signed by the executant before the document is accepted for registration. This course is however, unnecessary in respect of a document executed solely by a public functionary as such or of a document received under Section 89. In such cases it will suffice if the interlineation, erasure or alteration is attested by the officer concerned.
