Section 15(1) in The Indian Medical Council, Rules, 1957
(1)Any candidate may withdraw his candidature [before the time appointed for the scrutiny of nomination papers] [Inserted by S.R.O. 2282, dated 5th July, 1957] by notice in writing signed by him and delivered to the Returning Officer [***] [Omitted by S.R.O. 2282, dated 5th July, 1957]. A candidate who has withdrawn his candidature shall not be allowed to cancel the withdrawal or to be re-nominated as a candidate for the same election.
