Section 205(1) in The West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973
(1)The State Government shall appoint a Director of Panchayats and such other officers as it may consider necessary for the purpose of inspecting or superintending the work of all, or any class of, Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis or Zilla Parishads.
